Meet Bane, the venom-charged villain who put Bruce Wayne in a wheelchair

Around this time next year, people will be wildly anticipating (if they aren't already) Chris Nolan's third installment to his ever-wonderful take on the Batman story.



Beside is one of the first images to come out from the film, and it's of the man who broke Bruce Wayne's back in the comics - Bane. He will be played by Tom Hardy (who was in Nolan's latest film offering Inception).

Returning to portray their roles in the previous films will be Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gary Oldman (now Commissioner Gordon), Michael Cane (Alfred), and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox). Adding to the list of competent actors - because Nolan doesn't work with actors who can't cut it - are Anne Hathaway (as Selina Kyle/Catwoman... on a personal note, nice), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (as a character named John Blake, though a lot of people actually thought he'd take up the mantle and reprise Heath Ledger's Joker, as he looks and could possibly act like the fallen actor), Marion Cottilard (as Miranda Tate... and as the third Inception actor who is part of this Nolan film), \\ among others.

The film is set to come out in July 2012. Knowing how good Nolan is, I am sure this will be worth the wait. Hopefully, he will have been able to work his magic into the Man of Steel film he's consulting on as well. MMW will continue to post tidbits on this and other films that I feel is really worth my money.
